HOW FAR SHOULD WE BOOK IN ADVANCE?

 

We suggest that you book as soon as you make a decision that you would like us to film your wedding. We are big on quality over quantity, so we only film a certain number of weddings per year to maintain the gorgeous imagery that you see in each of our wedding love stories.

WHAT IS CINEMATOGRAPHY AND HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM VIDEOGRAPHY?

​

Cinematography is a way to shoot and edit video that focuses on telling a story. It’s an art form that combines professional documentary-style and Hollywood movie-style filmmaking to create an aesthetically pleasing and entertaining film to showcase your wedding. Videography is merely capturing video to document an event and generally consists of one person, standing in the back shooting a long-form video without too many edits.

 

 

YOU COST THE SAME AS PHOTOGRAPHERS... I THOUGHT VIDEO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CHEAPER?

 

We do, now let us explain. Back in the day videographers used to just hold big clunky cameras on their shoulder and hit record from the corner of the room... so for decades, it became common knowledge that videographers cost less, and are worth less than photographers. Therefore, even today we are still generally the last vendor that a couple will book, and most couples don't hire a videographer at all, which is a BIG mistake.

 

98% of couples regret not hiring a videographer.

 

Videographers used to just document the day with no real skill or art involved, but times have changed and videography is now an art form every bit as much as photography. Not only that, but photographers only capture a split second of a moment... we capture the whole thing.

Videography takes 2-3 times as long to edit as photography. You need to consider that we are creating cinematic stories by synchronizing video clips (30 photographs a second) from 2 cameras, synchronizing audio from 3-4 sources, music, sound effects, color correction, and grading, special effects, and most importantly, storytelling. We create unique cinematic wedding videos catered to you.

Because we (Fesiuk Films) offer a whole lot more in our wedding video packages. We want you to have a cinematic highlight film to share with your family and friends easily, also, we want you to have a cinematic feature film that brings you fully back to your wedding day. We want you to experience the raw feelings, unexpected moments, the vivid details surrounding your wedding day.  We can’t imagine you not being able to hear and see yourselves exactly as you are in this moment, twenty years from now. We are professional from start to finish, and it shows in our films, and in the way we treat our couples. Your happiness in your wedding film is the most important thing to us. We accept a limited number of weddings per year, which means we give you the time and attention you deserve.

DO YOU HAVE A DRONE?

 

We do! We do follow the FFA laws and regulations with flying a drone. So, be sure to know what your venue rules are when it comes to drones.

CAN WE PICK OUR MUSIC?

​

Unlike many years ago, when videography was not popular or posted online for the world to see, music for all films must be licensed properly for it to be used legally. A lot of time and thought is put into each soundtrack to make sure it’s the right fit for the emotion of your wedding film. So, we will ask for songs you would prefer, as well as, a genre choice.

 

 

WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY COMPANIES?

 

The biggest difference between Fesiuk Films and other Asheville wedding videography companies is the quality of our work, in my humble opinion, far surpasses the majority of videographers out there. We are constantly investing in new equipment and learning new techniques to keep our work above and beyond what most people expect from a wedding video.

We are a husband and wife team. This means you know who will be taking care of you before, during, and after the wedding. We are also extremely easy to work with.

We use and embrace audio! We LOVE when couples write their own vows, write love letters to each other, the officiant says something profound or there are speeches at the reception or rehearsal dinner. We are able to use all the amazing audio from your wedding day to help craft your wedding film.

We edit everything ourselves, no outsourcing. Editing plays just as an important part in your wedding film as the actual filming does. Don’t get me wrong you still need to have the skills to shoot, white balance and compose properly but the ability to craft a story from footage while utilizing the audio from your wedding day is a skill in and of itself.

We respond very quickly to all emails (We even talk to you like a real person rather than sending an automated response!) and let you blow up our personal phone with texts at any time.

HOW DO YOU WORK WITH PHOTOGRAPHERS? CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANY THAT YOU LIKE TO WORK WITH?

 

We are total team players. It should be both of us working together to give you great photos and videos. We do everything we can to help the photographers get their shots without compromising ours. we do a ton of weddings, which means we've encountered tons of amazing wedding professionals. However, that also means that on occasion we've encountered some unprofessional. We do have a few vendors whom we recommend. If you'd like to check in with us regarding our recommended vendors or thoughts on a particular photographer before you book them, we would be happy to give you our honest opinion.

I ALREADY HIRED MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER. DO YOU GET ALONG WITH OTHER WEDDING VENDORS?

 

Absolutely! In fact, we have many friends in the wedding business who refer us to their own couples for wedding videography. So yes, we get along very well!

WHY MIGHT IT TAKE SOME TIME TO GET MY VIDEO BACK?

 

After a typical wedding day where we are on location(s) for 4 – 10 hours, we’ll end up with 200-400 Gigabytes of footage. That equates to around 2-3 hours of continuous footage per camera, 300-500 video clips, and 2-5 audio sources. So going through and organizing all of the footage, syncing audio to the ceremony and each reception event, putting your wedding footage together to re-create your wedding day, sourcing music, color correction, and grading all can take up to 40-70+ hours.  During peak season we may be filming 3-5 weddings a month so you can see how wedding films start to stack up. Weddings by Fesiuk Films is so much more than showing up, pressing record, and handing you over a tape. We make sure your film is perfect before we release it.

 

 

WHAT WILL I RECEIVE?

With the ever-changing technology, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and even Flash drives will be obsolete. Therefore, we digitally deliver our cinematic wedding videos.

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL YOU BRING TO MY WEDDING AND RECEPTION?

 

We bring quite a bit of gear to each wedding but we pack it so well you would never know it. Our cameras consist of  4k cinema cameras, 4k drone camera, Lapel mics, recorders, two shotgun mics, multiple lenses, video lights.
